TASC Connect at the Library!

Want a High School Equivalency Diploma? Our staff and volunteers are available to help you understand and prepare for the TASC exam. This is a service through the Westchester Library System. TASC will be at the Ossining Public Library the first Thursday of every month, 6:30 - 8 p.m. Locations will vary. Want to know more? New Voting Machines

The Ossining School District will use electronic optical scan voting machines for the Annual District Budget Vote and Election on May 17, 2016. This vote also includes the Ossining Public Library Budget and Election of new Trustees.

In Loving Memory of Sally Read Dow

Former head of the Children's Room, Sally Read Dow, passed away on January 28th, 2016. Sally was born on November 11th, 1935. She was a resident of Croton On Hudson and worked at the Ossining Public Library for 43 years until her retirement in 2012. Sally will be missed by all who knew her and worked with her. She is survived by her loving husband and three children. Her love of books and compassionate, caring nature lives on at OPL.

Starting on April 2nd, the Friends of the library will once again be accepting donations of the following: Books, CD's, DVD's all must be in good condition. Please no textbooks, encyclopedia's, VHS/cassette tapes etc. Thank you!

The Friends of the library have beautiful bags for sale. These are available for purchase starting November 1st. Please stop at the Circulation Desk to see a sample bag and to also make your purchases. The bags sell for $15 each or 2 for $25.00. You are supporting the library with these purchases. We thank you!
