This month, we’re exhibiting the work of Alan Haywood and his moving, powerful show “Taking It To The Streets”. His photographs can be viewed in person in our lower level gallery, and he has graciously created a virtual exhibit for those who are unable to visit the library. To see his full show online, click here, and read below to learn a bit more about this talented photographer and the impetus for this exhibit.
Alan Haywood is a commercial and fine art photographer residing in Ossining, NY. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Alan taught photography for over twenty years in schools and art centers in the NY metro area.
His personal work consists of images captured for the light, shadow and texture. Recent work includes landscapes and environmental photographs of the southwest states. Alan also enjoys photographing people in the studio and on location, and musicians performing. In these extremely turbulent times, I feel the need to channel people’s concerns and emotions pervading our country with my photographs.
