On Saturday, October 5, we hosted our first ever Early Literacy Baby Shower. All Ossining families with babies up to 18 months, or who are expecting a baby, were welcome. Families had a chance to learn about the library–programs and events for both children and adults–and to get a library card.
Families learned a little about early literacy and the importance of reading to, talking to, singing to, and playing with their babies. Then Tricia did a short storytime. Many of the children thought the highlight was bubbles!
After the storytime, we raffled off some great prizes, and then everyone was invited upstairs to the Children’s Room for refreshments and photo ops.
