Renew Items

Information and FAQs

Items checked out at the Ossining Public Library are eligible for automatic renewals.  
  • Three days before the item is due, the item will be automatically renewed for another full loan period, as long as the item is renewable and there are no holds on the item.  Items that are eligible for automatic renewals will only renew one time.
  • Patrons who are signed up for email notifications will be contacted when the automatic renewal goes through.  Patrons will also get pre-due notices for those items that are coming due that are not eligible for automatic renewal.
  • Automatic renewal notifications are only available by email at this time.  To make sure that you are signed up for email notifications, log in to your account on the Log In to My Account page. You will need your library card number and your PIN, which is usually the last four digits of your phone number.
  • Patrons can always check their library accounts online to see the status of their checked-out items, by visiting the Log In to My Account page.
