On Saturday, October 26, we had our second grant-funded program for families of preschoolers, Party with Pete the Cat.
Families had time to visit tables for information about the Children’s and Adult Services departments, and also had the opportunity to get a library card if they didn’t already have one. Every family received a Pete the Cat bag and picture book, a bilingual songbook, and information about programming and services offered by the Children’s Room.
This was followed by a short Pete the Cat storytime, a raffle, and an invitation to come upstairs to the Children’s Program Room for a snack and to meet Pete himself!
Everyone wanted to get a picture with Pete!

This program was made possible in part with funds from Westchester Library System’s Family Literacy Mini-Grant Initiative support by Con Edison.
