Budarz Theater
The Budarz Theater
The library’s Camille Budarz Theater is home to numerous programs throughout the year, from concerts and film screenings to theater productions and recitals. Dedicated to the memory of the late Ossining resident and world-traveled pianist Camille Budarz, the theater has hosted performances by acclaimed artists such as Livingston Taylor and the iconic Art Garfunkel and author visits by James Patterson, Frank McCourt, Rosanne Cash, Adriana Trigiani and Jeff Kinney. The Budarz Theater hosts world-renowned pianists every autumn in the Nadia Reisenberg Young Artists series. The Sunday Afternoon Concert Series, which runs September through June, showcases musicians in every genre–classical, jazz, blues, and country.
The library is also lucky enough to a Steinway Grand Piano once owned by Ms. Budarz, and visiting artists rave about having the opportunity to play on such a wonderful instrument.
