On Friday, May 24th, the Ossining Public Library’s Children’s Room had our third Roblox Tournament. Eleven competitors emerged from the streets of Ossining to challenge for the title of Ossining Roblox Master, including the returning champion, Estibe.
Each Roblox tournament has competitors compare their skills in a handful of different games. The games can vary each time, but Speed Run 4 and Epic Mini Games are staples of every tournament. All players are required to use the library’s accounts to play to ensure the game is open and fair to everyone.
Players are split into groups to play in the qualifying matches. In Speed Run 4, each player gets a score based on how many levels they completed in 8 minutes. In Epic Mini Games, players participate in 8 games and get a point for each game they win. In Doomspire Brickbattle, players get points for eliminating their opponents and protecting their tower. And finally, in Parkour Tag, players get points for tagging opponents and avoiding being tagged.
After all four rounds were done and the dust settled, Estibe emerged victorious again! Junior came in second and Rishabh took third place. But most importantly, everyone had a great time playing Roblox.
