Thursday, December 4
Space Exploration Workshop with Westchester Children's Museum
Students learn about humanity’s explorations of our Moon, Mars, and the Universe beyond. Activities include designing and launching rockets, creating patches for NASA missions, crafting mock moon craters, making nebula-inspired art, and playing galaxy-themed games.
For children ages 6-12.
Registration will close on December 4, 2025 @ 3:30pm.

Light and Sound Workshop with Westchester Children's Museum
Students explore how vibrations make sound, use prisms to discover the light spectrum and compare transparency, translucence, and opacity. Activities teach about how sound is produced and travels, how light forms images, and how light and sound move as waves.
For children ages 6-12.
Registration will close on December 11, 2025 @ 3:30pm.

Mystery Night: Soccer Scam
Become a detective and crack the case! Interview the suspects and gather clues to solve the mystery of what happened to Lionel Messi’s World Cup soccer ball.

Decorate Gingerbread Cookies
Get into the holiday spirit with our Gingerbread Man Cookie Decorating program! Children will receive a freshly baked gingerbread cookie and a variety of colorful icings, sprinkles, and candies to bring their cookie creations to life. This hands-on, festive activity encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and a little bit of sweet fun.
Perfect for kids of all ages—come make, decorate, and take home your delicious masterpiece!
Children 6 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult!

Junior Taste Testers
Are you ready to put your taste buds to the test? Our Junior Taste Tester Program is the ultimate opportunity for young food enthusiasts to explore new flavors. Participants in the program will sample a variety of Oreos and vote on their favorite flavor.
For children ages 8-12.

Noon Year's Eve Party
Why wait until midnight? Ring in the New Year early with us at the library! Families are invited to join us for a fun-filled countdown to noon with music, crafts, and lots of celebration. We’ll make party hats and noise makers, then count down together as the clock strikes 12 (in the afternoon!). Perfect for little ones who can’t stay up late but still want to celebrate in style.
Our guests of honor, the 2025 1000 Books Project finishers, will also be celebrated and awarded their medals.
