Technology Tutoring
Book a Tech. Tutoring Appointment
The Ossining Public Library’s Technology Tutoring service is provided to assist patrons learn basic computer and personal device skills, learn about library eResources, and achieve comfort in using technology to accomplish their goals. Appointments are available in-person, at the library.
Some examples of Tech. Tutoring topics include:
- Using a web browser
- Downloading eBooks
- Using computer software
- Navigating websites and online forms
- Using smartphones
- Sending email
- Using the library’s mobile app
- Learning about and using library eResources such as Libby, Ancestry.com (and more!)
Appointments
Tech. Tutoring appointments are 45 minutes long and must be booked at least two (2) days in advance. Tech Tutoring appointments are available at a variety of times throughout the week, including some morning, evening, and Saturday appointments.

Please note:
- Appointments are currently limited to one appointment per week, per patron.
- Tech. Tutors will not advise patrons on what content to enter into online applications of any kind.
- Tech. Tutors may fill out or actively assist patrons in filling out online applications by entering information provided to the tutor by the patron at the discretion of the tutor.
- Tech. Tutors will not create or handle patron passwords or account information.
- Tech. Tutor appointments are not classes with pre-determined topics or assignments–they are oriented around specific topics requested by you, the patron.
