Trustee Candidate Meghan Huppuch

Having served on the Ossining Public Library Board of Trustees since January 2022, Meghan Huppuch is honored to be running to serve her second full three-year term. A proud graduate of Ossining High School, and a frequent visitor to Ossining Public Library growing up, Meghan returned to Ossining in 2021 after several years living and enjoying the public libraries in Brooklyn and Boston.

Along with strong feminist values and a commitment to equity, Meghan brings fifteen years of experience in organizing and communications roles in social justice nonprofits and philanthropy. She centers relationships in everything she does and has a passion and track record for organizational development. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social & Cultural Analysis from New York University and a Masters of Public Health with a focus in community health education from CUNY.

In addition to loving books, Meghan is passionate about the role of public libraries as welcoming spaces for encountering difference, building community, and accessing information and resources.

Meghan has demonstrated leadership through her service as a Board Officer – Secretary, Vice President, and President – over the past four years and is jazzed about strengthening board effectiveness and exploring the potentials of trustee leadership. She hopes to continue contributing her energy, skills, and curiosity to OPL’s mission to be the community’s center for lifelong learning.
