USA 250 Programs and Events at OPL
Revolutionary War Waterfront Walk
Join us for a short, level walk on the Ossining waterfront led by local historian Scott Craven. The walk will focus on the Hudson River and Revolutionary War events that took place on the river and in the area.
Scott will be presenting the information in English and OPL staff will be facilitating Spanish language translation of Scott’s presentation.
Families welcome and kids are encouraged to join! While the presentation will be most interesting to adults, we will have a kid’s activity along the walk to keep them engaged along the way.
Meet at the Henry Gourdine Park Kiosk at the Ossining Waterfront.

Film Screening of "Hamilton"
We’re not throwing away our shot! We’re celebrating USA 250 at the Library with HAMILTON WEEK and we’re kicking off with a weekend matinee of the one and only Hamilton.
“An unforgettable cinematic stage performance, the filmed version of the original Broadway production of “Hamilton” combines the best elements of live theater, film and streaming to bring the cultural phenomenon to homes around the world for a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. “Hamilton” is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, the film transports its audience into the world of the Broadway show in a uniquely intimate way.” – Disney+
SING-ALONG with Hamilton
We’re ending Hamilton week the only way we know how…with the energy and excitement of a SING-ALONG! Let’s make the Budarz Theater even more musical when we sing along to our favorite musical–no vocal talent required! Embrace your inner theater kid and sing from the heart.
